According to József, every drink has a story, be it an Elephant gin, which if we choose to try, we will also supporting the safe nurturing of elephants, or a Czider, which is the result of exciting experimentations done by two Hungarian female brewers. The drinks recommended by him don’t only fit the taste preferences of guests, but also their personality. Wherever he goes around the world, he always looks for the local specialties. His passion for regional flavors has led him to recreate some classic cocktails, for example, the original Bloody Mary, which can be tasted with delicious Hungarian ingredients thanks to him.

He was born and raised near Tokaj, a renowned Hungarian wine-growing region. It is no surprise therefore that his interest in gastronomy and wine grew in spades. As a true experimenter he believes that besides the famous wine regions in Hungary there are many outstanding, but lesser known vineyards. He passionately searches for the best ones which he can share with Corso guests: based on your taste, he can definitely recommend a local red, white or rosé wine, which may easily become your next favourite. His expertise isn’t limited to wines, he is also a brandy connoisseur – feel free to ask him if you fancy a special whisky or rum!

Nikoletta Vágó
Pastry Chef

At the young age of 9 Nikoletta Vágó, our Pastry Chef, decided that one day she would like to be the best Hungarian éclair maker in the country. Amongst others, this determination and her desire to create new things drew her to the world of confectionery, where day after day she has the chance to dream up extraordinary pastries. She strives to bake up original taste variations with a unique look: a perfect example of this is her ‘Rákóczi túrós’ éclair, which is a delicious combination of a traditional Hungarian cake and the popular éclair.
